How To Choose The Right Clock

So you’ve decided you want a clock but don’t know where to start? That’s great, this guide will help you to choose the perfect product for your home or even the perfect gift for your friends or family.

Step 1 – Type

This should be the easiest part for you to decide, currently we have broken our store into 4 categories on product type.

-Wall Clocks
-Alarm Clocks
-Desktop Clocks
-Digital Clocks

When considering the type you need to think about where you’ll be placing the item and also the colour scheme of the room. You wouldn’t want to get a solid black clock and put it on a black wall.

Once you’ve decided on which type you’re looking for you can move onto the next step.

Step 2 – Function

So you have your type figured out and now you need to get the right piece with the right functions.

For an alarm clock you need to consider things like:

-Time display
-Alarm
-Temperature display
-Projection display
-Novelty factor
-Safety
-Sound activated
-Size
-Talk back function

For a wall clock the functions are limited so it shouldn’t be much of a decision,

A couple of things to consider are:

-Number display
-Roman numeral display
-Silent ticking
-Zero number display

Next are our digital clocks, the first thing you’ll notice is you might see some of the same products again that are in the alarm section. This is because many of these products are digital as well as have an alarm.

Things you should consider here are:

-Battery operated

Now last but not least the Desktop Clock section.

Here the main thing you need to decide on is if you want a digital display or a flip display.

A flip display is one of the coolest things you will ever see and we highly recommend this over a digital.

Step 3 – Price

It’s a fact of life that price plays a major role in our purchases so it’s important to take into consideration your budget.

If you’re buying this for yourself or your own home you might consider getting the exact product that you fancy the most.

But if you’re buying this is a gift for someone you don’t need to spend a fortune to ensure they love their gift.

When buying for friends or family you need to consider if they will be happier with a cool clock that’s valued at $30 or one that’s valued at $100+. They will have no idea of the cost so if it has a cool function or looks nice it will always be a crowd pleaser.
